MedStar is specialist medical recruitment company with head offices based in Northern Ireland. The company was formed in Belfast, as we identified a clear deficiency of quality healthcare-recruitment services in Northern Ireland and the UK. The main ethos of MedStar is based on ‘Local Presence with Global Outlook’. We have established excellent working relationships with a number of NHS Trusts and Hospitals within Northern Ireland. Since its inception the company has grown beyond the confines of Northern Ireland and has expanded it’s operations to a number of cities across the UK. Apart from its birthplace, Northern Ireland, company is currently escalating its operations in
England (London, Kent, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire,East & North Hertfordshire, Tyne & Wear, South & East Yorkshire, Gloucestershire, etc.), Wales (Cardiff, etc.) and Scotland (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, etc.).

At MedStar we believe in the policy of being Local yet Global. What it literally means is – Local Presence with Global Outlook. We appreciate that sometimes it may be difficult for a doctor to work in an entirely alien place. Apart from being challenging for doctor, it may pose risk to patient safety. Sharing the concerns of Hospitals, MedStar adopted a policy of recruiting local doctors locally; who are better aware of local procedures, local policies, local referral system, permanent staff and specific needs of department/ as
well as patients under their care. Apart from providing continuity of care to the patients, this policy proves to be safe for doctors as well as hospitals. We also make sure that every doctor receives a proper induction and training gathering adequate information about the hospital/ his new workplace.
